Looping All Over The World pt.1
Ok, so this is my first ever blog write up. I thought I'd wait until some cool stuff happened first.
Seville and Skopje done, Eindhoven next!
So it's been a crazy few weeks. I played a festival in Seville, Spain called Monkey Week and a showcase conference in Skopje, Macedonia called Pin Conference. SpongeBob was decapitated and squeezed into and suitcase (a rather violent abduction), costume changes were packed and off we went to Spain. I arrived, checked in, played a one show showcase in torrential rain I played 3 shows in Seville. One at a big Jagermeister stage at 2pm Saturday afternoon and the last one in a night club called Kafka at 11pm on the Saturday night. Both great shows with amazing crowds! At the Kafka show I played after a young rapper called Maz, a very talented guy....
The journey to Macedonia started at 2.45am on Friday... As we touched down my phone told me about roaming options in Kosovo. Fucking Kosovo???? Pin had sent me the tickets by email and I hadn't really studied them. We were picked up by a cab driver called Oliver and driven through beautiful mountains to Macedonia and were given a history lesson on the former Yugoslavia on the way. We saw and made friends with some amazing bands like Machine De Beauvoir and Sajzerbiterlemon. Ran into Maz again who was also playing. And he played up a storm. The show on the Saturday night was so much fun. Packed with a crowd that were really into it. I spoke to a lot of local teenagers after who all wanted pics. It was quite bizarre! Next European stop is Eindhoven with Moses and the Firstborn on 27th and 28th December alongside Gramma then Dresden in January.
Just got booked for Wilderness festival in July!!!!
